About me
2024-25 will be my 19th year in education. I teach 6-8 ELA for gifted students at South Middle School in Joplin, Missouri. Over the years, I have taught gifted in grades 1-8, 5th grade general education, 8th grade ELA (gen ed and co-taught), as well as online courses for our local university. I have been 1:1 for over ten years. I am currently certified in eMINTS, Canvas, Google Level 1 & 2, Kami Level 1 & 2, and GoGuardian. I received my Doctorate in Education in 2023. My dissertation focused on equity in identification strategies for gifted students.
